We’re especially grateful to Stephen and Tracey for personally hand-delivering the supplies that WEI employees collected over the summer. Bellesini Academy proudly celebrates Head of School Aliali Silverio Belkus, who received the Orgullo Dominicano Award for Community Leadership at the 2026 Dominicanisimo Awards Gala, held on August 6 at the Omni Hotel at the Seaport in Boston.

The Dominicanisimo Awards honor Dominican excellence, cultural pride, and service to the community. Aliali was recognized for her commitment to education and her work uplifting young people, families, and the Greater Lawrence community. She is deeply honored to represent Bellesini Academy and to stand alongside other inspiring Dominican leaders whose work continues to strengthen communities and create opportunities for future generations.

Bellesini Academy is honored to be part of the NativityMiguel Coalition. The 2026 NMC Conference in St. Louis was an invaluable experience for our team, inspiring and energizing us for the work ahead!

Last night, Bellesini hosted a 21+ Alumni Night at Rapscallion Brick Oven Pizza and Brewery in Lawrence. We had an excellent turnout with over 35 alumni attending! It was a night filled with great food, drinks, reminiscing about old times, and creating new memories! We can’t wait until the next one!

One of the greatest strengths of our community is the lifelong relationships we build with our students. Throughout the summer, our alumni gathered each week to reconnect, give back, and have fun. Tuesdays were spent volunteering at Cor Unum Meal Center, serving the Lawrence community. Wednesdays brought the boys together for basketball, while Thursdays gave the girls the opportunity to connect through bracelet making, painting, and trivia competitions. These gatherings are about so much more than the activities themselves. They strengthen friendships, foster a lasting support network, and remind our alumni that Bellesini will always be a place they can call home. 💙❤️ 💙❤️

🎉 Congratulations to Bellesini Academy sixth grader Manuel on being selected by Instituto de Dominicanos y Dominicanas en el exterior INDEX as a young "Pride of the Dominican Abroad" through the ODEX program.

Recipients of this honor were chosen for excelling in their respective communities, whether academically, socially, in sports, or in arts and culture. Manuel was among only 28 students, aged 10-17, selected from countries around the world to receive this incredible recognition!

As part of this program, Manuel and his family got to go on a week-long cultural experience in the Dominican Republic, connecting with their heritage and receiving public recognition. During the trip, Manuel even got to meet the President of the Dominican Republic and was presented with a certificate for his outstanding achievements.

Manuel, your hard work, character, and dedication continue to inspire us all. We are incredibly proud of you and can't wait to see all that you accomplish in the years ahead. 👏💙❤️

☀️ What an incredible way to wrap up Bellesini's Summer Program! 💙

Our final week was filled with curiosity, creativity, and celebration as our students continued exploring STEM through hands-on science experiments, including the always-popular "elephant toothpaste" reaction. They also worked alongside Mr. Batt in woodworking, designing and building personalized wooden phone holders.

The week concluded with the final competitions of our Summer Olympics, where our students demonstrated teamwork, resilience, and sportsmanship after a month of friendly competition. Congratulations to Team Italy (The Roman Warriors) for taking home this year's championship! 🏆

To cap off an amazing summer together, our students enjoyed movies, fun games, and a surprise visit from the Lawrence Fire Department, where they climbed aboard fire trucks and even sprayed a real fire hose! 🚒💦

Thank you to our dedicated staff, families, community partners, and supporters for making this a summer filled with learning, growth, friendship, and fun. We can't wait to welcome our students back this fall! ❤️🍎
