Development of Micro- and Nanofabricated Tools for Biological Discovery and Medical Diagnostics

The major focus of our group is to generate new tools for discovery and medical diagnostics through the analysis of biological macromolecules including DNAs, RNAs and proteins. These tools cover a diverse range of activities, such as the generation of new reagents, novel assays and methodologies, and hardware innovations across various length scales (millimeter to nanometer). Dates for our 2026 Workshop have been set! The Center of BioModular Multiscale Systems for Precision Medicine ( , https://cbmm.ku.edu) invites you once again to its Annual Workshop “How to Make It/How to Use It” at the University of Kansas, Lawrence Campus from August 5 – August 7, 2026. The workshop co-sponsored with Center for Molecular Analysis of Disease Pathways (CMADP, https://cmadp.cobre.ku.edu) and will focus on “Plastic Microfluidics for Biomedical Applications” and will include lectures and hands-on experiments.

Registration costs will be covered by CBM² and NIH. Travel and accommodation are the responsibility of the participant.
