Normally I give all shout-outs to the students (of all ages) but today I would like to thank the many instructors that came to help with our live fire growth and development days. These pictures are just a fraction of the people that were here (25 instructors at any given time). If you are going to build your culture...this is how it is done. I wish we got more photos of you, but you were too busy having a great time! Student photos to follow.

The Academy/RTC has been truly blessed with many donations this season. The latest is a complete set of Hurst Tools, donated by Hartford Fire Department. Donations like this keep us learning and keep us serving--Thank you!

This program would not exist without the generous donations from our community partners. The Van Buren Tech Fire Academy would like to thank Paw Paw Fire Department and their communities for the extremely generous donation of rescue struts. This awesome gift will help with the education of these young folks and in return, the communities that they serve!

Say hello to one of our new team members...Betty!

Yesterday, Honeydo left for her new home in MI. Her new dad and one of his son's came to get her. Honeydo is embarking on a remarkable life. Her dad is Chief Fire Science Instructor and Honeydo (now Betty) will become an emotional support dog for firefighters in MI. Her first day at fire school will be end of August. When not doing her job, she will have an amazing home and grounds to explore and be pampered.
We wish her the best life and bravo for doing a most worthwhile job.
