We celebrated 5th graders Moving On to middle school today with a family cookout, and a program recognizing the accomplishments of these incredible kids! We are so proud of you 5th graders!

Riverhawk Walk! 🎓

The Woodlawn hallways were full as we welcomed back Riverhawks who are graduating high school! They were greeted by young students, former teachers, siblings, and their mom! We are so proud of their hard work and accomplishments!

Last Friday, BEST Friday! 🤩

Final Morning Opener with lots of student celebrations, staff retirements, and tons of birthdays. We then geared up for Rudy Races where the kids went undefeated beating Woodlawn staff and crazy games. Lunch on the front lawn recharged our batteries for an afternoon of Field Day fun! Thanks to students, families, and staff for making our final Friday together a sweet memory of the school year!

Spring Strings! 🎻🌺

Our Mid-America Performing Arts Alliance sponsored Inspiring Strings club just completed their third school year of free after school violin and cello instruction! This program has been a huge success in making high quality music instruction accessible to students in elementary school. These kids have flourished with the opportunity and performed brilliantly Tuesday for friends and family!

Every Riverhawk grew in their skills, knowledge, and confidence to cook healthy food for themselves and families. We couldn’t be more grateful for Sunrise Project and all they did for our school community this year. Woodlawn is better because of their presence in North Lawrence from cooking classes to Sunday cafes! 💜

Spring time means taking learning outdoors! Our Garden Club is blooming with new growth. ICL - Lawrence spent time Friday making our campus beautiful for students, families, and the North Lawrence community to enjoy our outdoor learning spaces. 💚

WOW Fest year 2✅

It was a beautiful evening celebrating scholarship winners, a dedication bench to former Principal Jeanne Fridell, raising money for our scholarship fund, dunk tanks of beloved staff, 4th grade CCR cover bands, lots of pickles, and a time to enjoy local talent. To our North Lawrence community - we love ya and can’t wait to celebrate with you again next year! Thanks to everyone who made the evening possible and to Mrs. Boedeker for dreaming up an event and pulling it off.
