CDCPS - Prospect Families! Our 8th-grade students have organized a Voter Registration Drive in an attempt to increase local voter turnout and representation in the upcoming 2024 elections. If you are not currently registered to vote and are interested in becoming registered, we would like to invite you to join us on Tuesday, June 4th between 1:15 pm to 3:00 pm in our gym. Please bring identification issued by the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles and our students will assist you in completing the registration process, as well as providing you with compelling reasons to vote and information about the candidates who are on the ballot!

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week to all our amazing educators!

Last week CDCPS-Prospect Lower and Upper School celebrated the conclusion of the ELA MCAS with its first-ever Live in Literature Day where students and staff dressed as beloved book characters.
Every classroom immersed itself in creativity through a spirited door decorating competition, complemented by a wide array of engaging activities from Bingo and Scrabble to spelling bees and book talks, coloring bookmarks, and designing book covers.
After school families were welcomed to explore their child's classroom and partake in different activities.

CDCPS is open and operating on a regular schedule today, Thursday, April 4, 2024.

CDCPS-Prospect 2nd graders finished their historical heroes unit by creating a living museum! They each wrote biographies, created posters, and dressed as different historical heroes. Parents were thrilled to come in and see their projects.

CDCPS-Prospect teachers have transformed our 4th-grade classrooms into a carnival-themed extravaganza to infuse some fun into our MCAS preparations! Students are earning tickets for prizes and games by showing perseverance, active participation, adept use of text evidence, and creating awesome graphic organizers!
The unit will conclude with an exciting celebration!

CDCPS-Prospect ELC was so happy to welcome our first mystery reader from The Community Group. We had Madeline Ceballos, the author of Naya and the Back Crayon, read her book to our k1 friends. We cannot wait to see who will come read to us next!

On Friday, CDCPS-Prospect 8th graders visited the Prospect Early Learning Center to celebrate Literacy Day. The students read books together and had so much fun! The Community Group
