Southwest Michigan XC Rustbuster Recap:
Lawrence showed solid progress out at Warner Camp today, with several athletes dropping season bests and personal bests across the board. These meets are early in the season, but the effort and improvement are already showing.

From the middle school squad, Landon Marsh‑Peek clocked a strong 16:23.1 (PB). On the girls’ side, Kacey Reyes put down a 30:52.9 (PB). The boys’ team added a string of breakthroughs: Xavier Glover ran 20:49.6 (PB), Rendyn Alfieri hit 21:31.8 (PB), and Robert Palacios followed with 22:16.1 (PB). Season bests came from Andon Offord at 23:44.8, Adrian Valerio at 26:47.7, and Walter Waite at 30:40.6.

Lady Tigers Varsity volleyball falls to Our Lady of the Lake 3-0 tonight. Keep working hard ladies! They're back in action next Tuesday as they travel to White Pigeon for their opening SW10 matchup. Go Tigers!

Varsity Soccer Wins!!⚽️

The Lawrence Tigers defeated Comstock colts 3-1! The Colts were first to score, then the Tigers took control of the game. Goals by Gio Barrientos, Mateo Mancera, and Colton Camarillo kept the Tigers in the lead until the final whistle! !

Southwest 10 Conference Finals Recap: Lawrence Athletes Finish Strong

Lawrence closed out the Southwest 10 Conference Finals with four All‑Conference Honorable Mention performances and several additional top‑eight finishes. Mariana Vinaja earned Honorable Mention in the 800 meters with a fourth‑place finish, while Aurora McQueen placed third in the 3200. In the field events, Carolina Mancera added a third‑place finish in discus. The girls 4×400 relay team of Leslie Patlan, Lucy Patlan, Kacey Reyes, and Zoey Soppelsa also earned Honorable Mention by taking third.

Lawrence added several more top‑eight finishes across the lineup. On the boys’ side, Xavier Glover placed fifth in the 800 meters, Alexander Gardner finished sixth in shot put and fifth in discus, and Gio Barrientos took sixth in long jump. For the girls, Zoey Soppelsa placed eighth in the 400, Kacey Reyes finished fifth in the 800, and Aurora McQueen added a seventh‑place finish in the 1600. Alex Strauch placed fifth in the 300 hurdles and seventh in long jump, while Carolina Mancera added an eighth‑place finish in shot put.

Several athletes also recorded personal bests at the meet. Boys PBs came from Carter Spicher in the 800 meters and Logan Tunstill in discus. Girls PBs were earned by Lucy Patlan in the 200, Leslie Patlan in the 400, Aurora McQueen in the 3200, Alex Strauch in the 300 hurdles, and Carolina Mancera in shot put.

Lawrence - Regional Recap

The Lawrence Tigers delivered a strong performance at the MHSAA Regional 34‑4
Championships in Gobles, highlighted by a dominant day from the girls’ throws crew. Senior Carolina Mancera captured the regional championship in the discus, breaking the school record with a throw of 117‑02, and added a fifth‑place medal in the shot put to lead the team. Evelyn Waite joined her on the podium with a sixth‑place finish in the discus, and the girls’ 4×400 relay of Carolina Mancera, Kaylin Leyva, Kacey Reyes, and Zoey Soppelsa battled to a sixth‑place medal to close out the meet.
The girls also stacked several personal bests. Zoey Soppelsa earned PBs in both the 200m and 400m, while Carolina Mancera and Evelyn Waite each recorded PBs in the discus, marking major progress for the throws group.

On the boys’ side, Xavier Glover secured a sixth‑place regional medal in the 800, and freshman
Evan Broyles added a seventh‑place finish in the 3200. Senior thrower Alexander Gardner
medaled in both the shot put and discus, placing sixth in each. Lawrence also brought home three relay medals: the 4×200 team of Colton Anders, Jake Theragene, Rendyn Alfieri, and Andon Offord finished eighth; the 4×400 squad of Glover, Theragene, Offord, and Alfieri placed seventh; and the 4×800 relay of Glover, Isaac Keymoole, Alfieri, and Mateo Mancera claimed sixth.
The boys added a strong list of personal bests as well. Colton Anders earned a PB in the 100m, Andon Offord in the 200m, Xavier Glover in the 800m, Isaac Keymoole in the 1600m, and Robert Palacios in the 3200m, rounding out a productive day for the Tigers. In total, Lawrence walked away from Regionals with 11 medal events and nine new personal bests, showcasing
depth, toughness, and a rising competitive edge across both squads

Lawrence – Gobles Invitational (May 8, 2026)

The Lawrence Tigers earned several top‑eight finishes at Friday’s Gobles Invitational.

Senior Carolina Mancera led the girls with a second in the discus and fourth in the shot put. Senior Alexander Gardner matched that success for the boys, taking third in the shot put and fifth in the discus.

Lawrence also placed two relays in the top eight. The Girls 4x100 team of Colleen McCaw, Kaylin Leyva, Carolina Mancera, and Zoey Soppelsa finished fifth. The Boys 4x800 squad of Mateo Mancera, Isaac Keymoole, Rendyn Alfieri, and Xavier Glover placed seventh, a major breakthrough which included three 8th graders, producing one of Lawrence’s fastest 4x800 times in the last five years.

The Tigers added eight personal bests, including improvements from Zoey Soppelsa (100m), Zeke Waite (110H), Kaiden Blackmoore (300H), Xavier Glover (400m and 800m), Isaac Keymoole (1600m), Kacey Reyes (1600m), and Evan Broyles (3200m).
