It is with both sadness and so much love that we announce the retirement of another very special Kid Start pioneer, Ms. Josefina.
After 23 wonderful years with Kid Start, Ms. Josefina has made the decision to retire. While we are truly sad to see her leave, we are also very happy for her as she begins this new chapter of her life. She is now ready to travel, spend more time with her granddaughter, relax, and simply enjoy life—and who can be mad at that!
Ms. Josefina began her journey at Kid Start as an infant teacher and later moved into the toddler classroom, where she truly found her passion. She created a warm, busy, and meaningful learning environment for the children. She was always excited to share her weekly themes and activities and would often ask, “Did you get a chance to see what we did?” She brought the outdoors into her classroom whenever she could and created many hands-on, homemade activities that the children loved. She always found ways to make learning fun while supporting the children’s developmental needs and allowing them to explore, create, and learn.
But what I will personally remember most about Ms. Josefina is her loyalty, kindness, and support for Kid Start. During some of our most difficult times for Kid Start, Ms. Josefina never gave up on Kid Start. She was always there with words of encouragement, faith, and support. She would often say, “I am here for you. Just let me know what I can do to support you.” Those words meant more than she probably realized. Kid Start is not only losing a wonderful employee—we are losing a friend, a supporter, and a true part of our Kid Start family.
Ms. Josefina, thank you for your 23 years of dedication, love, hard work, and commitment to our children and our program. You have left a special mark on Kid Start that will not be forgotten.
