Did you know the inventor of basketball, Dr. James Naismith, was also KU's first basketball coach? Today, he is being celebrated on Google's Doodle in recognition of the anniversary of the first article published about the sport.

Today's Google Doodle is a cute animation celebrating Dr. James Naismith and his invention of basketball in 1891.

Recently we have updated the FAQ section on the ISS website. We have added new sections regarding what to do if you think you may be sick with COVID-19, and also tips on learning with online classes.

Attention! Douglas county has issued a stay-at-home warning that will go into effect this Tuesday and last at least until April 23rd. Residents can only go out for necessities and to perform essential functions like buying food.
