KU International Affairs Statement on Anti-Black Racism and Violence:
The recent tragic deaths of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor and Tony McDade have shown a powerful light on the systematic and abhorrent racism that exists in this country.
KU International Affairs and International Support Services know these events have caused pain and trauma for those within our international community. We support our students, faculty and staff as they collectively work to have open and frank conversations around race, peacefully protest and build partnerships that will create enduring change. We must all come together to undo America’s legacy of racism, violence, bigotry and oppression.
To our international students of color, we hear you, we see you and we are here to support you. Contact Rianon Wallace-Demby, a senior international leadership team member, at [email protected] for additional support and resources.
