I am afraid announce the departure of another lovely soul from this earth. Just yesterday we lost Maureen Tracey (known and loved as Tracey) at the age of 95. Peter Ffrench was able to visit her the day before and let us know. Thank you.

I am posting this so that those who are friends of Dorothy Ward are able to get this information. Grandma passed this past Tuesday at about 9:30 PM. The day after Grandpa passed she told me that she had prayed to God to live long enough to take care of Grandpa and now that he was gone she expected to be taken any day. She truly died of a broken heart. She and Grandpa met 74 years ago this past July and would have celebrated their 74th wedding anniversary this coming November. They had never been apart for more than a month since they had met and Grandma could not stand living without him. She passed 3 weeks after he and is now back with him.
If you would like to attend her service or know somebody that would it will be Sunday October 30th at 2 PM. It will be held at Tonganoxie Methodist Church.

We have lost a wonderful lady. So many years at Maupintour and so many friends. RIP Ilene you will be missed by many.
Obituary for Ilene Kay Shoemaker at Quisenberry Funeral Home Ilene K. Rains Shoemaker, 73, Tonganoxie, KS, passed away May 27, 2021 at St. Lukes Hospital following heart surgery. Funeral service will be 11 am Tuesday June 1, 2021 at the Quisenberry Funeral Home, Tonganoxie, KS. The family will receive friends for 1 hour prior to the Funeral Service 10-11
