⚾️HARRISON MCKERNAN ⚾

Meet Harrison McKernan, one of our instructors here at D-BAT Lawrence! Harrison specializes in pitching, hitting, and fielding, with a strong focus on mechanics, confidence, and the mental side of the game.

Harrison played at Fort Scott Community College and has experience working camps and clinics at D-BAT KC, Fort Scott college camps, and helping incoming freshmen develop their game.

For Harrison, development goes beyond mechanics. He believes the game is 90% mental and wants every athlete he works with to build the confidence and competitive mindset needed to perform at their best.

Outside of baseball, Harrison is from Olathe, Kansas and enjoys spending time with friends and family, going to the gym, and cooking.

Please welcome Coach Rylee Bentley to the D-BAT Lawrence family!

Coach Rylee is a pitching, hitting, and fielding instructor with a passion for helping athletes grow both on and off the field. A standout softball player throughout her high school and travel career, she signed to play collegiately at Central Methodist University before continuing at Allen County Community College. Along the way, she earned multiple Defensive and Offensive Player of the Year honors, All-League and All-Area recognition, and even received an invitation to an All-Star Game and the opportunity to play for Team USA.

Since joining D-BAT Lawrence in March 2026, Rylee has worked with athletes of all ages and skill levels, helping players develop stronger mechanics, build confidence, and reach their goals. She specializes in pitching, hitting, fielding, base running, and creating a positive learning environment where every athlete can improve at their own pace.

Growing up in Baldwin City, Kansas, Rylee developed a lifelong love for softball through years of travel ball and competition. Her coaching philosophy centers on effort, confidence, and making the game enjoyable while helping athletes become stronger, smarter, and more confident players.

Please welcome Coach Boede Rahe to the D-BAT Lawrence family!

Coach Boede joins us with an outstanding collegiate pitching background, including three seasons at Kirkwood Community College before continuing his career at the University of Kansas. Along the way, he has earned honors including NJCAA Division II All-American Honorable Mention, multiple First Team All-Conference selections, and Big 12 Pitcher of the Week recognition.

Boede specializes in pitching mechanics, velocity development, arm care, pitch design, game planning, and helping athletes build confidence on and off the mound. His goal is to create a positive, challenging environment where players develop the fundamentals that lead to long-term success.

Before joining D-BAT Lawrence, Boede worked as a pitching instructor with GoodGame Baseball, coached youth and high school prospects, and helped lead camps at D-BAT Marion. He enjoys helping athletes of all ages reach their potential while making the game fun and rewarding.

Please welcome Coach Andrew Falkner to the D-BAT Lawrence family!

Coach Andrew brings a passion for developing pitchers of all ages and experience levels. A former collegiate player at Greenville University who also competed with the University of Kansas Club Baseball team, he combines playing experience with a player-first coaching approach to help athletes build confidence and reach their potential.

Since joining D-BAT in 2024, Andrew has worked with pitchers ranging from beginners to advanced athletes, helping them improve mechanics, arm care, pitch selection, off-speed development, and their mental approach to the game. His coaching philosophy focuses on creating clean, repeatable mechanics while building the confidence athletes need to succeed both on and off the mound.

Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Andrew is a lifelong baseball fan who believes the game teaches discipline, perseverance, and hard work. His goal is simple: help every athlete become a more confident pitcher, stronger teammate, and better competitor while making the learning process enjoyable.
