Thank you to our Presenting Sponsors at this year's Changing Lives Gala. We were so excited to welcome over 500 supporters to the new KU Conference Center, raising a total of $652,325 for Ballard programs and services in Douglas County.

We had a wonderful time connecting with the community during Lawrence's Juneteenth celebration on Saturday!

WHAT A NIGHT!

The Ballard Changing Lives Gala was at a new location, the KU Conference Center, this year, and Ballard and 500 of its closest friends and supporters raised $652,325 for Ballard programs and services.

These funds will help with our Living Wage Initiative, providing a living wage, health care, and benefits to our staff, and the 7% Tuition Model, ensuring no family in care at Ballard ever pays more than 7% of their income on child care. It will also help with our community pantry, SOMOS Lawrence programming, Growing Food Growing Health Fresh, Free Local Produce, and our emergency rent and utility assistance programs.

One of our favorite things about Ballard is watching children become part of the community.

The shy child who finds their voice. The new student who makes their first friend.

The classroom that slowly becomes a family. Those moments happen every day, and they're what make this work so meaningful.

Every child deserves a place where they feel safe, welcomed, and loved. That's the community we work to build at Ballard.
