Cub Scout Pack 3370 - Lawrence, KS

Cub Scout Pack 3370 has been recruiting all around town at Back to School Nights and the Kids Expo. Come see us on August 20th between 5:30 and 6:30 in Deerfield Park to learn all about our pack's Scouting adventures. We will have everything ready for your scout to join in the fun that night.

Cub Scout Pack 3370 had a blast at Scout Night with the KC Monarchs! The team won 13 to 9, with several home runs. The weather was great for the game, camping in the outfield, and enjoying a movie on the big screen, until thunder and lightning had everyone pack up at dawn.

A scout is clean and a scout is helpful, so our scouts chose to start the school year by cleaning up around Deerfield 497 Elementary School and Deerfield Park. Cub Scout Pack 3370 has been proudly chartered by the Deerfield PTO since 1971!

Our Wolf Den just completed their first overnight resident camp at Cub World: Wolf Camp! 7 scouts and 7 adults of Cub Scout Pack 3370 had a great time camping, playing games, swimming at the pirate ship, playing in the castle, making boats and planes, shooting archery, BBs, and slingshots, learning about dinosaurs and coins, and so much more! The scouts performed a skits at campfire, hiked the trails of Camp Naish, and found the Lost Mine. A little heat can't stop us from adventuring!

We are committed to growing our Kansas City Scouting community, and this fall, our council is taking a major step to make joining easier and more affordable than ever before.

From August 1 through October 31, The Heart of America Council will offer a special, exclusive introductory rate for new Scouts and their families. New members will get the opportunity to to join Scouting for just $65 for the entire year—which is nearly half the regular price for the national/council registration fees.

We’ve structured this introductory rate to significantly lower the upfront cost for new families. When you sign up this fall, you will receive:

✅ A $20 discount on the National registration fee for new youth and new adults.

✅ No Council Program fee for new youth and reduced to $20 for new adults.

✅ Available for all new Cub Scouts and Scouts BSA members.

✅ Available online and via paper applications

✅ Additional Scout Scholarships are also available to families that qualify

✅ New members will renew at normal rate after one year

On June 21 & 22, the Cub Scout Pack 3370 Bear Den attended Bear Camp at Camp Naish. Over the two days, the scouts learned about knife safety, built tool boxes, played in the pool, shot BB guns and archery, and explored the lost mine! It was a great start to their Bear year!

Cub Scout Pack 3370's AOL Scouts came home from Webelos Camp with the award for “Best Campfire Creation” for the Dutch Oven Cook-Off. The scouts made a cherry chocolate lava cake. Great Job Eleanor, Lucy, Harrison, and Emmett!

Members of the Cub Scout Pack 3370 Tiger Den enjoyed one or two days at Camp Naish’s Tiger Camp. The recent kindergarteners tied knots, created and played games, enjoyed BBs and archery, and splashed in the pool. It was a great introduction to Cub Scout summer camping!

A scout is clean, a scout is helpful, and scouts leave a place better than they found it! Cub Scout Pack 3370 picked up litter all around Deerfield 497 Elementary and Deerfield Park this afternoon, helping to clean up from yesterday's amazing Deerfield PTO Carnival.

This was part of the much larger Scouts Trash The Trash Day, an international Messengers of Peace Project in which scouts all around the planet are challenged to pick up one kilogram (2.2 pounds) of trash in their local communities. These scouts are learning to be capable, conscientious leaders who know that small acts of responsibility can make a world of difference.
