In the first few years of Environmental Charter High School (ECHS) our school was full with concrete and no plants or any sign of a healthy environment. Our school would flood every time it would rain so the solution to the school flooding was, students removed the concrete and created a creek bed so the lower campus of our school wouldn’t flood. It also creates a harmonious ecosystem where all the living organisms in the creek, like fish and algae are able to thrive and survive on recycle water. In the picture below is a photo of our school with full concrete and no vegetation. As our classmates worked hard to improve on a healthier environment they had achieved their goal in creating the creek bed and recycled the concrete they had removed into an amphitheater where our school was able to held pep rallies and seating for the first time. In the first photo below shows the creek bed our classmates had created and you can see how alive and healthier our environment is.
