The page's purpose is to communicate information to attendees, graduates, family and friends of historic Douglas High School in Lawndale, NC.

The Douglas High School Reunion organization is comprised of former students, graduates, their descendants and friends of historical Douglas High School in Lawndale, NC. Its purpose is to preserve the history and traditions by keeping the cultural roots and spirit alive; raise money for the Douglas High School Scholarship Fund and to host the reunion every odd year on Labor Day weekend.

Hello Tiger Family!

All alumni should have received their letter from the reunion committee several weeks ago regarding plans for this year's reunion and the scholarship application.

SCHOLARSHIPS
Open to DHS descendants of graduates or attendees who will graduate this spring and plan to pursue a two or four-year degree.

We're down to grandkids and great-grandkids now. Please talk to your families about the school's extraordinary history and impact, and why applying is important.

Please follow the application instructions and mail your completed application (blue or black ink), transcripts, activities, test scores, and two (2) Letters of Recommendation, postmarked by April 30, 2026.

Students, don't hesitate to get in touch with your Guidance Counselor to access your records.

About last night...Douglas High School Alumni and friends were in the house celebrating and rekindling friendships. This year, we were again at the Stamey Event Center in Fallston, NC. Graduates present were from the classes of 1952 to 1967, when Douglas was closed after desegregation began and students were allowed to attend Burns High School.

It's announcement time for the 2023 recipients! This year we had seven applicants. They all had very good grades, it was hard to choose and we wish we could give something to everyone, but we can only select three. We are proud to present a $1,000 academic award to:
