Jesse Uemura grew up on a 3-acre lot in Wailua Homesteads. All he wanted to do after school was head to the beach, but every week his household chore was to mow all 3-acres on his own... with a push-mower. At 12 years old, this was the thing he looked forward to the least. Nonetheless, yard care became a lifestyle for Jesse and something he grew to appreciate. As an adult, he now highly enjoys taking care of yards, he has a passion for detail, and takes pride in helping others. While Jesse has over 15 years of experience in yard care, he also has spent the last 17 years working in the service industry. There he learned the meaning of having great work ethic and providing excellent customer service.

‘Tis the season to verticut your lawn! This service is now available and is recommended for the overall health of your turf grass. Verticutting is basically vertical mowing, which thins out thatch (organic matter containing mostly dead grass) and promotes a healthy root system. The purpose that it serves is to slightly agitate the soil, clear out thatch, and promote healthy spreading of your turf grass. This photo shows the progress of a verticut service, two weeks after. After the lawn heals, with proper care/maintenance, these customers will have healthy turf grass for the rest of the year!
