Here are the upcoming programs happening at the Lavonia-Carnegie Library for the week of August 10-14, 2026.
~BUILDERS' WORKSHOP~
August's building challenge is scrapbooking your summer! Using the materials provided at the library, complete the scrapbooking challenge to receive a prize!
~FRIENDS' MEETING~
On Monday, August 10, 2026, at 5:30 P.M., The Friends of the Lavonia-Carnegie Library will meet to discuss the success of the Summer Reading Program, plan for the upcoming Lavonia Fall Festival, and brainstorm fundraising ideas to support the Lavonia-Carnegie Library. This meeting is free to attend, and if you want to join the Friends, it's $25 per year for an individual, $50 per year for a family, and $75 per year for a business!
~STORYTIME~
Every Wednesday at 11:00 A.M., we have our preschool Storytime with songs, stories, and crafts! On August 5, we will have an ocean-themed Storytime!
~CROCHET CLUB~
Every Wednesday at 6:00 P.M., we invite crocheters of all skill levels to join us to either continue a project they're working on or get inspiration for a new fiber art project! We have an instructor on-site, so if you're looking to learn the craft, come get crafty with us!
~WE ARE HIRING!~
We have two part-time positions open at the Lavonia-Carnegie Library. We have a 10-hour-per-week position that will help with the day-to-day operations of the library, and a 12-hour-per-week position that will also create and host programs for adults in our community!
