Yesterday some of the hardworking Laverne Choir students went to Enid HS for the 1st round of OkCDA JH All-State and OKMEA HS All-State choir auditions. I’m very proud of everyone and their hard work.

These 4 dedicated Laverne Choir members have been putting in a lot of extra time preparing for their All-State auditions. Saturday, September 13th they attended the OCU All-State Choir Workshop for students preparing for their OkMEA HS and OCDA JH All-State Auditions. Jerrett Pope, Jocelyn Pope, Azenet Rivera Garcia, and Mary Katherine Teal attended the event with 500+ other JH and HS students from across the state of Oklahoma. Kudos to all of these students and their dedication to excellence!

I’m so proud of everyone that performed today!! They have really worked hard. Oh, we had to celebrate with some Texas Roadhouse!! 😁

After a VERY windy trip to OPSU on Tuesday, the Laverne Choir was blessed to come back home with some new hardware!! Our large ensemble, pictured here, the LHS girls trio, the LHS ladies duet, and 4 soloists received a I (Superior) rating and will advance to State!! I am very proud of all of our students who prepared solos, ensembles, or both. It takes a lot of dedication and hard work to get a song ready for contest. Congratulations to all of you!!
It was another great day to be a Tiger!!!
