About Me

Hello and Welcome to Miss Chris’s Little Stars Preschool !

7 years ago I started an in-home daycare business and became known as “Miss Chris” even though I have been married to “Mr. Tim” my husband for 48 years.

We met while performing and touring with a collegiate variety show from Brigham Young University, The Young Ambassadors. I helped support us while my husband was in Law School as a Medical secretary at the George Washington University Medical Center in Washington D.C. Following his graduation from Law School we moved to the Phoenix area. Mr. Tim’s Law career has taken us to Dallas, TX, Minneapolis, MN and now back here to Phoenix.

We had 8 children, 6 of whom are happily married and have given us 26 grandchildren. Two of my grandchildren are college graduates and the others range from High School ages down to toddlers. I am proud of my family and their desire to be educated, hardworking, kind, honest, service oriented and talented individuals who contribute to their community.

I love teaching children and understand their desire as well as ability to learn from a very young age. The past few years I have enjoyed teaching the children in my care; partnering with their parents to prepare them for Kindergarten. One of the children in my daycare, tested into Vista Del Sur Accelerated Academy. Her parents shared with me that because she did so well the administrators asked them, “Who is her preschool teacher?” That made me smile!

The transition from daycare to preschool has been a great experience. This 2019 -2020 school year has been very fulfilling as I have observed the growth of my students not only intellectually, but socially, emotionally and physically as well. Each child has been a joy to get to know and teach, and the parents have been graciously supportive as well.
