Big sister’s turn! 🐴💩

Our classes started this week, and these two are already learning that horses aren’t just about the fun parts. After grooming, they decided caring for a horse was “hard work”—and then Copper gave them one more job! 😂

At six years old, she jumped right in and helped clean the arena. Riding may be the reward, but grooming, responsibility, teamwork, and caring for our horses and their space are all part of becoming a true horseperson—even the stinky parts!

Classes officially started this week, and one of our four-year-old students got the full horse-class experience! 🐴💩

We played games, he shared the class with his big sister, and when Copper left a little “present” in the arena, he went right to work. He carefully scooped it up and made it all the way to the bin by himself—pretty impressive for four years old!

At BHRA, students learn from the very beginning that horses aren’t only about riding. Good horsemanship also means grooming, caring for our horses, and cleaning up our shared space—even when the job is a little stinky!

And don’t worry—big sister got her turn, too. Her video is coming next! 😂

We are SO excited to officially get our first semester of classes underway! 💛

If your rider is enrolled with Big Horse Riding Academy, please take a moment to check your email for your BHRA Welcome Email and Student & Parent Handbook. If you don’t see it in your inbox, be sure to check your spam or junk folder, as a few emails may have landed there.

The handbook contains important information about our program, policies, and what to expect this semester. It also includes student information and acknowledgement forms that need to be completed for each rider. These can be completed when you arrive for your rider’s first class.

The handbook can also be found on our website under resources near the bottom of the homepage.

The past few weeks since our Open House have been busy and exciting behind the scenes at Big Horse Riding Academy! 🐴

Schedules have been created, lesson slots have been filled, and we’ve been carefully matching students with instructors, classes, and times that will help them thrive. Now, lessons officially begin next week!

We are so excited to welcome everyone to the barn and see the confidence, skills, friendships, and special horse-and-rider connections that grow throughout our very first semester.

Here’s to an incredible beginning—we can’t wait to get started! 💚

Copper gives our homemade horse popsicles four hooves up! 🐴🧊💙

Last week, some of our Manes & Miracles clients made frozen treats with carrots, apples, blueberries, bananas, and a splash of apple juice—and Copper was more than happy to be the official taste tester!

It kept rolling away, but Copper wasn’t about to let a runaway popsicle come between him and his snack. 😂🍎🥕🫐🍌
