Our 4th graders had a wonderful time welcoming Mrs. Becky Anderson from the Grand Village of the Natchez Indians! As they learn about the original inhabitants of Mississippi, students got a hands-on look at Native American history and traditions. They even had the opportunity to learn and play traditional games like stickball, which was sometimes used to settle disputes between groups.

Learning history is even more fun when you can experience it firsthand! Our students had a ball!

Our very first Hot Ticket Auction was a HUGE success!

Throughout the first nine weeks, students earned Hot Tickets for working hard, making great grades, showing excellent behavior, demonstrating determination, and so much more!

Friday, they got to put those tickets to use at our First Nine Weeks Hot Ticket Auction—and it was FABULOUS!

A special THANK YOU to everyone who donated items for our classroom auctions! Your generosity helped make the day extra special for our students.

Our next Hot Ticket Auction will be held in December.

Today we celebrated MAAP Proficiency and Growth with our 4th, 5th, and 6th graders. Students who demonstrated grade level Proficiency/Advanced status in ELA and Math became "Golden Knights"! Please share your MAAP Awards photos in the comments!

Our Little Free Library is up & running on the school’s front porch! Take a book! Share a book! Read! Read! Read!

Y’all North Jones Elementary now has its very own Dog Man Little Free Library and we couldn’t be more excited!

A Special thanks to Wanda Caldwell Johnson for helping us get it assembled and setup! It is ready for you to use!
