Yesterday, my wonderful, selfless Mom was released from all pain, depression & anxiety. She is the bravest & strongest person I know by choosing when to transition and when to actively die. She passed away on her own terms and she knew I’d back her up all the way. Once she made the decision to enter hospice, it opened up more options so she could stop fighting to stay alive and, instead, focus on a glorious reunion with my father, her parents, and the scores of friends and family who passed before her.
Pop always called her his angel. Fr. Lockman called her an archangel. They were right.

She is most definitely in heaven. She is finally at sweet, glorious peace.

Comfort care is brutal. But she chose Patti Flores & me to be the ones to help her through this. It was an honor, privilege, and the hardest most sacred work I’ve ever done.

Please keep Joe Sheppard and his family in your thoughts and prayers. His mother passed away suddenly last week after a tragic accident.

DECIDED!!!! Thanks to all who completed and shared the survey. PHS Reunion will be the weekend of September 22nd! Please spread the word. Attend what you can.

I'll email more specifics along with a location for you to share pictures, slideshows, etc. And will also reach out to those of you who offered to help.

Schedule (9/22-9/24):
• Friday - PHS Football Game: 7:00 PM against Gilman. Location: Pallotti Athletic Field @ Fairland Regional Park
• Saturday - Crab Feast at PHS. 4-8 pm. Call Claire at PHS for discounted tickets
• Saturday Evening – Mini-Gathering for 82-83 Class Members only; Slide Show in PHS Room.
• Sunday – Lunch estimated time 1100

UPDATE!!! Thanks to all who completed the initial survey. Based on your feedback, we researched Laurel and Maple Lawn area, restaurants and hotels and called PHS about a tour. There are now:

TWO WEEKEND OPTIONS.
1. Saturday 9/16 - Event Room at La Curva Restaurant in Laurel. The hotel option was expensive based on initial RSVPs and this restaurant has a set-aside Event Room where others did not.
2. 9/22-23 - Friday night Football and Saturday CrabFeast at PHS - unlimited food and drinks along with games and 50/50.

Please complete the survey using the new QR code (sorry it's so big) or the URL by 8/11 and we will publish the final choice on or before 8/14.
