Epworth Christian School Schedule a visit today! The church members voted in March of 1979 to begin construction of a school building which was completed by September of the same year.

Our mission is to partner with parents in equipping children academically and spiritually to fulfill God's purpose for their lives, while reflecting the character of Christ in all we do. Our History
Epworth Christian School began in the hearts of the members of Epworth Fellowship Church under the leadership of Pastor Ron David. Church members worked tirelessly over the summer to see their dreams become reality. On September 4, 1979 the school was opened with 62 students and 6 teachers. Over the years, many would volunteer their time and effort in various ways. In ten years, the enrollment grew to 200 and a staff of 18. The A.C.E. (Accelerated Christian Education) curriculum was taught for the first few years. Students worked in paces at a pace they could tolerate by themselves with a supervisor and monitor in each room. Most rooms contained two or three grades. Each student had their own cubicle (cubby or office). They each had two flags (1 Christian and 1 American) which they raised for help from a supervisor or monitor. Courtesy and respect were emphasized and red, white, and blue was the attire for students and faculty alike. Around 1986, the Abeka curriculum was introduced and each grade became seperate. Over the past 20 years, many changes have been made such as dress code and curriculum - all to meet the needs of our students in our changing world, such as computer and foreign language. Even though our society seems to have rejected our Christian heritage, Epworth Christian School is dedicated to Christian education. Our students are the hope and future of our church and nation. Honor Code Covenant
At Epworth Christian School, we strive to create an environment wherein all act honorably . It is our attempt to establish a code which reflects the true nature of our Savior, Jesus Christ, and, without reserve, it is our desire to follow this code wholeheartedly so that we may honor God, each other, and ourselves. I. Commitment to God (Psalm 37:5)

We commit to pray ing and apply His Word daily. We commit to worshipping God in Spirit and in Truth. We commit to devoting our entire lives to the Word of Christ and sharing the Gospel with others. II. Commitment to Honesty (Luke 16:10)

We commit to being truthful in all of our actions. We commit to abstaining from harmful dishonest gossip. We commit to academic integrity . III. Commitment to Classmates (Matt. 5:16)

We commit to encouraging one another and building each other up in the faith. We commit to greeting one another with a welcoming spirit. We commit to making ourselves available to others when they need us most. IV. Commitment to Authority (Romans 13:1)

We commit to being respectful and obedient to those God has placed in our lives to guide, teach, and instruct us. We commit to being attentive and self-disciplined in our classes. We commit to participating and following directions without complaining. Student’s Pledge

I hereby agree to uphold the honor of our school in the fear of the Lord.

We are getting ready for our annual Grandparents Day and Run with the Lions on October 16th! This hayride hug captures what we love about these celebrations—time together with our Lion Family.

Grandparents, we can't wait to celebrate you! Brush off those lawn chairs and get ready to make more wonderful memories with your little (and big) Lions. 🍂

You're never too old! This morning, our new Middle School ILA teacher, Mrs. Benjamin, used the children's classic "Corduroy" to help our 6th-8th-grade students better understand worldviews and how the truth of the Gospel shows up everywhere.

Our Principal, Mr. Bryant, and our constable, Mr. Fred, were outside holding umbrellas and helping students make their way into school this morning— small acts that say so much about the hearts of the people serving our students each day.

Even on a cloudy, rainy morning, their hearts are shining for God and showing our students what it means to serve with kindness, humility, and love.

We are blessed to have them as leaders and protectors of our Lion family! 🦁
