Leadership Jones County

Our Leadership Jones County class had a great day yesterday exploring Quality of Life & Local Government in Jones County!

From municipal leadership and downtown revitalization to parks, recreation, tourism, and community development, our class got a firsthand look at the people and organizations working to make Jones County a great place to live, work, and visit.

A big THANK YOU to everyone who shared their time and insight with our class: Mayor Johnny Magee, Tim Barksdale, Caroline Burks, Chris Tullos, George Bassi, Sarah Hinton, Mayor Buckhaults, Josh Upton and Deborah Upton!

We also enjoyed visiting the Laurel-Jones County Visitor Center and wrapping up our day with a tour of Landrum's Country.

We appreciate everyone who helped make this such an informative and enjoyable day!
