First Grade Think Like a Scientist Day!

Yesterday our first graders put on their scientist hats in Mrs. Rayner’s class! 👩‍🔬👨‍🔬
They started by reading an informational text about owls and creating an Owls: can, have, are chart. Then, students made predictions about what they thought owls might eat!

The best part? They got hands-on with real owl pellet dissections! Students carefully sorted the bones they discovered into categories and compared them to their predictions to find out what prey their owls had eaten.

So proud of these curious scientists for asking questions, making predictions, and discovering answers through investigation!

Fall portrait order forms are coming home this week.

Last week we followed the Yellow Brick Road… straight to West Jones High!
Our students had the BEST time watching their production of The Wizard of Oz. The sets were amazing, the acting was even better, and the whole show felt like pure magic.

Big cheers to West Jones High for such a fantastic performance—if you didn’t make it to the show, you definitely missed out!
