Summer in the Events Office is always a wild ride and this year was no exception.
Our Hospitality Ambassadors welcomed every kind of visitor to campus, from overnight camps and conference attendees to Summer Theatre crowds. They built furniture, shuttled guests, answered phones, and showed up for long hours rain or shine...often literally, going from broiling sun to sudden storms without missing a beat.
Nothing tests (and builds) real-world readiness like training camp prep, ex*****on, and tear-down. Our students worked across every corner of campus, interacted with Steelers staff and guests, and solved problems on the fly. If you can make it through a summer in the Events Office, you can make it anywhere.
But the truth is, our favorite part of this job has always been the people. Our student staff bring the energy, the laughs, and the heart to everything we do, and we simply couldn't do this work without them. As photo evidence shows, we always manage to squeeze in a bit of fun too (and maybe a nap or two).
So to all of our summer folks, student workers and full-time staff alike, THANK YOU! We see the long days, the hard work, and the hustle. We appreciate every bit of it.
