Please meet Renata Pruszewski.
Renata is one of the first practitioners in Canada specializing in Scalp Micropigmentation. She started treating clients with hair loss, alopecia, density after thinning and hair transplants and scar camouflage in 2014. Her interest spiked after learning permanent makeup procedures in 2010 when she noticed that SMP was becoming popular in Europe and the USA.
She learned scalp micropigmentation in US and UK and is always on top of the new techniques and new technologies in this field.
Renata became a presenter at conferences and a trainer. She strongly believes in continuing education and lives by the words "Never stop learning".
Renata has won “Best Canadian SMP ARTIST” in 2017 and is again nominated for 2018.
Renata is also well known for her natural hairlines and many new artists follow her work closely to improve their skills.
She joined with Pam Neighbors to create Trillium Ink Academy for SMP training in 2016 and now works alongside with Seif Sidky and Jerod Schoonmaker in Global Scalp Micropigmentation Academy.

Meet Jerod Schoonmaker.

Jerod is one of our Educators responsible for creating the idea he has developed into what we now call “Global Scalp Academy”. He saw a need for developing a better, more comprehensive training program for the new artist wanting to get into SMP.

Jerod has been involved in Scalp Micropigmentation since 2015, however, he has been in the medical field since 1993. Serving in the U.S. Air Force in various positions as a Flight medic, trainer, and ER medic to name a few. He decided to get involved in the industry after he received the procedure.

Jerod is a firm believer in the military model of “see one, do one, teach one”. He has learned early one although many people learn differently, everyone benefits from “hands-on training”. Learning the fundamentals to this industry is key however nothing can replace hands-on training. Jerod also believes that having access to your trainers before, during, and after training is paramount in giving the new artist the confidence to know that they are not alone.
