A number of years ago I purchased this antique school desk from a business that was going out of business. It was in bad shape but I loved the character of it. It had names engraved inside, the number of the desk engraved on the top. I sanded it down. Still was in bad shape. Then I found chairs somewhere else and they were in even worse shape. But I knew they needed to go together. So after much sanding and painting and and sealing. The desk and matching chair are now complete. I also just stained the second chair. They all have character. They all have great bones and now they can be repurposed.I was able to find on Etsy and antique inkwell that fit perfectly in the hole. You can see the before and after shots
