What a great morning at Maple Bend Bee Supply!
A huge thank you to everyone who came out to our Honey Extraction Workshop. We always enjoy opening up the bee barn and spending time teaching alongside fellow beekeepers. There’s just something different about learning by doing.
Today we walked through the entire extraction process, from checking moisture content with a refractometer, to uncapping frames, loading the extractor, and talking about ways to protect your drawn comb for years to come. Best of all, everyone got the chance to jump in and do it themselves.
One of my favorite parts of the day was watching families learn together. Seeing kids excited about beekeeping right alongside their parents is exactly why we love offering these workshops.
If you've spent any time with Matt or me, you know we're former teachers. Education has always been our passion, and helping beekeepers build confidence is the heart of what we do.
Thank you for spending your Friday with us. We appreciate every one of you and can't wait to see you at the next class!
