HOCKEY IQ CLIP:

Notice in the overhead camera angle clip, when Jonathan Marchessault notices he has a 2 on 1 opportunity with Smith. JM realizes if he slows down his speed to allow smith to create the right angle, he can feather a sauce pass to beat the back checker Kane and the defender. JM slows down, sucking the D man to himself, allowing Smith to bury a beauty backhand top shelf where mama hides the cookies!

What are you daily habits? Are they the same habits an NHL player would have? How much time a day do you dedicate to getting better at hockey?

Another great clip of our CHA athlete Christian. This drill works those essential lower body and core muscles. Hockey is a very fast game, in order to have that essential speed, you must work on your explosive fast twitch muscles

CHA Athlete Christian, demonstrating a game like situational drill. He starts by driving wide into the zone, then uses his body to protect the puck from the defenders. He then creates separation down low by making tight turns away from the defenders pressure. Then he accelerates up the boards, using his eyes as deception that he is passing the puck to the point, which should open up a lane to drive the net, then toe drag the D man, for a A+ scoring chance

What an absolute pistol and perfectly placed shot by Mark Stone. Notice before the shot, Stone transitions to backwards while pushing off his defender, to allow him enough time and space to fire a bar down snipe 🎯🚨

Mark Stone sets up in the high slot and tees up a blistering one-timer from Matt Duchene off the pipe, giving the Senators a 4-3 win in overtime For the late...

Here we have a great video of the legendary “magic man” aka Mr. Dangles, Pavel Datsyuk. With a great punch stop/pull move, to beat the defender back to the net. Datsyuk is able to make this move happen when he gets the D man to commit to the puck, Datsyuk then uses he left skate outside edge to change his direction towards the net, leaving the defender whose momentum is going the other direction. He then uses his body to protect the puck from any stick lifts. Beauty of a goal and a great move to create time and space on the ice!

I’m very happy and honored to participate in this charity game for a 2nd year in a row! If your in Vegas, come on out to watch a little “school yard puck” (Mighty Ducks quote). Game proceeds will go towards a great cause, in helping grow the youth hockey in Las Vegas!

The mind is a very powerful tool that can work for you or against you, it all comes back to “choice” and the decisions you make on a daily basis
