SHOUT OUT TO RUSS AND NATHANIA!!
📣📣📣📣📣📣👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

“Receiving this recognition together makes it even more special because we've built our careers alongside each other, supporting one another through every challenge and milestone. UNLV played such an important role in our journey. It feels less like an award for one accomplishment and more like a celebration of the journey we've shared.” -Nathania Park

Russ Park, ‘09 and Nathania Park, ‘09 ‘14 are the UNLV School of Nursing Alumni of the Year. They met at UNLV and have since built distinct careers in patient care and behavioral health leadership while raising their family in Las Vegas.

We’re excited to announce has once again been named a Center of Excellence in Nursing Education by the National League for Nursing (NLN) for our work to "Enhance Student Learning and Professional Development."

This is our second time earning this recognition (we first held it from 2019 to 2023). UNLV Nursing is one of just 20 nursing schools nationwide to earn this distinction for 2026, and the only one in Nevada.

Congratulations to our entire nursing community on this incredible achievement.

It is with great honor and privilege that we announce that we have reached our $30,000 goal to endow our UNLV School of Nursing Alumni Endowed Scholarship.
What do we mean by endowed? An endowed scholarship is a scholarship that is funded permanently through an investment fund, rather than being paid from one-time donations.
In brief, it is a scholarship that will last in perpetuity (forever). As the investment fund grows, the amount that is distributed to students grows.

This amazing achievement could not have been reached without each and every one of you. We are truly grateful for every donation that helped make this achievement possible, no matter the amount.
We would also like to recognize an anonymous gift made in honor of Ed Smith, a Distinguished Nevadan, whose generosity helped us reach this important goal.

With this accomplishment, you are helping nursing students pursue their education and achieve their goals. I cannot think of a more meaningful investment than supporting the next generation of nurses. Please consider helping us to grow our fund by contributing here: https://impact.unlv.edu/campaign/783078/donate Scroll down --> select the drop down --> scholarships --> School of Nursing Alumni Endowed Scholarship.

Thank you again to everyone who has donated thus far.
We can't express our gratitude enough.
