NMHU Astronomical Observatory

NMHU Astronomical Observatory New Mexico Highlands University's Astronomical Observatory is free and open to the public on Wed. for solar observing and Fridays for nighttime observing.

New Mexico Highlands University welcomes the public to come and explore the astronomical observatory located on the fourth floor of the Ivan Hilton Science and Technology building on campus. (PH button in elevator by 11th Street entrance). Viewings are free and have no age limit! Attachment available for Nikon and Canon cameras for amazing photos through the telescope.

We are proud to announce the reopening of public night at the NMHU observatory. Doors open tonight at 8PM (pending weather). Please enter through the west doors of the Ivan Hilton science building, take the elevator to the PH and follow the signs. Hope to see you all there!

Unfortunately it looks like it is too cloudy to open the observatory tonight. We will be open again after Thanksgiving break.
