Birthday Celebration Guidelines:

Dear Gene Ward Elementary Families,

We understand the importance of celebrating your child’s special day and would love to acknowledge their birthday at school. However, in order to meet our required instructional minutes, we ask that any birthday celebrations follow these guidelines:

Communication: Please communicate any plans for your child’s birthday celebration directly with their teacher.

Timing: Birthday celebrations should be limited to the last 10 minutes of the school day. The classroom teacher will inform you of the most appropriate time to drop items off.

Treats: Families are welcome to drop off store-bought cupcakes or treats at the office, ensuring there is one for each student in the class. Please note that cakes and balloons are not permitted.

Classroom Visits: We kindly ask that parents do not go to the classroom during the celebration.

If you have any questions or need additional information, please feel free to contact your child's teacher.

Thank you for your cooperation in helping us maintain a balance between celebrating students and preserving valuable instructional time.
