GEAR UP takes on D.C.! 🏛️✨

Our GEAR UP students and faculty went on a trip to the nation's capital in Washington D.C. for the Annual NCCEP Conference.

While our team gained valuable takeaways from the conference presentations, the highlight was soaking in the sights, grabbing great food, and bonding every step of the way.

From taking in the sights-including a visit to the Washington Monument, it was a week full of learning, laughter, and community. ❤️📸

They didn't just tour the grounds; they mapped out their whole future. 🗺️🎓

Our Upward Bound SRP College Tour in San Diego was nothing short of extraordinary!

Our students made the absolute most of their time at the University of San Diego. Diving into campus life, exploring its incredible history, and sharing moments that made this trip unforgettable.

Walking through USD wasn't just about seeing a campus; it was about realizing just how far their potential can take them. 🌟

From The Classroom to The Capital! 📍🇺🇸

Our GEAR UP students and faculty recently had the incredible opportunity to travel to Washington, D.C. for the NCCEP/GEAR UP Annual Conference: Lighting The Way!

While at the conference, our students and staff jumped into inspiring workshops, met with leaders in education, and walked away with so many great ideas for the future. 🏛️✨

Outside of the conference halls, the group got out to explore the iconic sights, dive into history, and spend quality time bonding with each other.

It was a perfect blend of learning, leadership, and memorable moments. 📸✨

Taking fun to a whole new heights in San Diego! 🚀☀️

Our Upward Bound students and faculty recently made a trip down to the coast, and their stop at the USS Midway Museum was an absolute highlight! 📸🚁

Our group spent the day exploring massive carrier decks, climbing inside real aircraft models, and sitting in helicopter cockpits. A few quick-eyed students even spotted pilot names from Top Gun on the jets! 🎬✈️

It was the perfect mix of learning, hands-on fun, and unforgettable memories. Seeing our students step into history and imagine where their own journeys can take them proved one thing, this was a trip that will last for a lifetime of memories!

Our Upward Bound SRP students had a day to remember at Cal State University San Marcos! From walking through the halls to picturing themselves in class here, our students got to see what life as a college student would look like for them.

They’re returning home with incredible memories, but even more importantly, they are coming back inspired, empowered, and ready to claim the future that’s waiting for them. 🎓💙

Walking the beautiful grounds together, our group got to immerse themselves in the history of the university while discovering all the exciting academic programs and classes waiting for them.

Beyond just seeing the campus, the trip gave our students a true taste of college life and sparked a real excitement about the possibility of calling UCSD home one day.

Throughout the summit, these outstanding young leaders stepped out of their comfort zones, collaborated with peers from across the country, and learned firsthand how to turn their passions into real-world impact. Seeing their growth, confidence, and determination in our nation’s capital was nothing short of inspiring.

We couldn’t be prouder of how they represented our community and showcased the power of student leadership! 🎓💪

Our CAEO College Programs Student Support crew stepped away from our desks for an incredible staff retreat!

We spent two full days celebrating the past year's wins and charting out a roadmap to make our upcoming student journey smoother, brighter, and more successful than ever.

The energy was high, the breakthroughs were big, and the team's feedback was unanimous: we are completely re-energized and ready to back up the students for next term! 🚀

The summer might be coming to a close, but our students are just stepping into their futures.

We officially wrapped up our summer program with the CAEO Upward Bound Award Ceremony, and wow… what a room full of absolute rockstars! 🏆

These students set the bar high from day one, staying fiercely committed to their growth and rising above every challenge placed in front of them.

To say we are proud is a massive understatement. Their dedication, resilience, and brilliance shone so bright this summer, and this is only the beginning. We absolutely cannot wait to watch them take on the world and see what the future holds for them all! 🌟🚀

We are still riding the wave of excitement from the CAEO Upward Bound's Summer Research Symposium! Our phenomenal students officially stepped into the spotlight, confidently presenting their summer research projects in front of a packed room of classmates and faculty. 📚💡

The event was the perfect mix of informative and engaging. It was so inspiring to watch our students handle tough questions like pros, celebrate each other's successes, and show off the incredible knowledge they've built over the summer. Learning has never looked like this much fun! 🌟🤝

A huge thank you to the faculty who guided them, the peers who cheered them on, and most importantly, the students who poured their hearts into their research.
