Just a little behind the scenes of what it takes to keep this program running.

Ms. Christine has been volunteering at Real Talk for over a decade. She has put two sons through the program and has a daughter currently active. Ms. Christine has had a few roles over the years but one thing has not changed, her commitment and dedication to the program.

Real Talk relies on volunteers like Ms. Christine to facilitate the program because funding for overhead is not there. Unfortunately, one person can’t always be the go to for everything so it’s necessary to get more people involved.

Marie is one of our parents whose kids are part of the program and receive sponsorship for their activities. She is learning to take on some of the responsibilities of Ms. Christine so she can step in when needed.

When we say it takes a village, we really mean it.

Just a reminder that the Real Talk Youth Impact Program is a free community program that exists to support and build strong families through education and activities.

Our Art Class is free for participants thanks to the generous support of local donors. Not only is the program free, all art class participants receive an art kit and tote bag.

Parents, if you are looking for an extracurricular activity that won’t have you running all over town for practices and games or spend money on team snacks, then our art class might be the program for your child.
