🎨 Happy Times Calendar Artwork Contest! 🌟

Calling all student artists! The 41st Annual Happy Times Calendar Artwork Contest is open to students in K–12. Winning artwork will be featured in the 2027 calendar, and winners receive a $200 cash prize! 🖍️🎨

📅 Deadline: Friday, October 9, 2026

Artwork may be dropped off at any Silver State Schools Credit Union branch or mailed using the information on the flyer.

🍎📚 APPLE CORE Reading Challenge!

Tanaka is participating in APPLE CORE! Students can read at home, track their minutes, and earn prizes while helping their grade level compete for the most reading hours.

📚 Mrs. Jensen will review the program with students during library special, and bookmarks will be coming home with students.

🚗 Drop-Off & Pick-Up Safety Reminders 🚸

Please help us keep ALL students safe by following school zone and traffic procedures:

🚦 School Zone: Follow posted speed limits, crossing guards, and staff directions. No U-turns, passing, or stopping in the roadway.

🚗 Kiss & Drop: Use both lanes, pull forward as far as possible, and wait for staff to signal before students exit or vehicles leave the loop.

🅿️ Parking: The front parking lot is currently closed before and after school. Please park only in legal, designated areas—never block driveways, crosswalks, fire lanes, red zones, or double park.

🚲 E-Bikes & Scooters: Riders must follow all road safety rules and may not ride on school property, including the parking lot.
