What a fantastic night!

Last night’s Annual Back-to-School Pool Party was a huge success, and we loved seeing such a great turnout from our families! It was the perfect way to splash into a new school year and enjoy some fun together as a school community.

A HUGE thank you to our amazing PTO for organizing such a wonderful event for our families. We truly appreciate all the time, effort, and heart you put into making special moments like these possible!

Today's the day! We're excited to welcome you to our 2026–2027 Meet & Greet and can't wait to see everyone!

Please enter through our Leader Door, which will open at:

8:00 a.m. for students with last names A–M
10:30 a.m. for students with last names N–Z

If you're facing the front of the school, the Leader Door is located on the right side of the building. There will be signs posted to help guide you.

If you're arriving early, please bring an umbrella for shade and water to stay cool while waiting in line.

There will be all-call reminders as your Meet & Greet session is nearing its end. We kindly ask that you exit the building promptly at the conclusion of your session so our teachers can prepare their classrooms and we can get the school ready to welcome the next group of families.

Today was an amazing Kinder Roundup! 🐾

It was such a joy to welcome our newest Kinder Cats and watch them experience school for the very first time. From smiling faces to new friendships and exciting adventures, today was the perfect start to their Wildcat journey.

Thank you to our families for joining us—we can’t wait to see our Kinder Cats back on the first day of school!

Today we welcomed our incoming 6th graders and new 7th & 8th grade students for Middle School Orientation, and what a great day it was!

Our Middle School Lighthouse students did an incredible job leading the event—helping our newest students feel excited and comfortable, giving school tours, playing games, and welcoming everyone into their House. It was the perfect way to kick off the new school year!

A huge shoutout to our amazing MS Lighthouse students and their advisors—Mr. Foster, Mr. Sapida, Ms. Sanchez, and Mrs. Waters—for making today such a fun and memorable experience. We can’t wait for an amazing year ahead! GO WILDCATS!!!

🌴✈️ Wandering Wildcats ✈️🌴

Our next Wandering Wildcat is incoming 8th grader MacKenzie Arnold!

MacKenzie spent eight unforgettable days on a Caribbean cruise with her family, traveling to San Juan, St. Maarten, St. Thomas, and a beautiful private island. Along the way, she enjoyed swimming, exploring colorful streets, and making memories with her cousins, aunts, and extended family.

Her favorite stop was San Juan, where this photo was taken. She loved the vibrant colors of the city, the beautiful weather, and even spotting roosters as they walked around town! In St. Maarten, a family member who lives on the island gave them a personal tour of both sides of the island before ending the day with a delicious family-recommended meal. In St. Thomas, the weather changed from a quick sprinkle to sunshine in seconds before they spent more time swimming.

This adventure was extra special because it was MacKenzie’s very first cruise and her first time flying on an airplane! She also loved visiting the cruise’s private island, relaxing in the clear water, and, of course, enjoying the free food and ice cream every day!

What an incredible summer adventure! 🌊☀️🚢

This week we’re featuring Harper, who will be heading into 2nd grade this school year!

Harper is making the most of the last week of summer by soaking up the sunshine and making memories in San Diego! From beach adventures to exploring all the fun the city has to offer, she’s enjoying every minute before school begins.

🦁Wandering Wildcats: Leo’s Wild Adventure! 🌿🦒

Our incoming 3rd grader, Leo, is making the most of the final days of summer with a fun-filled trip to the San Diego Zoo Safari Park! Joining him on the adventure was his incoming Kindergarten Wildcat sister, Joy.

Together, they explored the park and came face-to-face with incredible animals, including gorillas, rhinos, giraffes, tigers, and so many more! 🦍🦏🦒🐅

What a fantastic way to wrap up summer—creating memories, exploring nature, and getting ready for another amazing school year!

We can’t wait to welcome Leo and Joy back to Somerset Lone Mountain. Have a wonderful school year, Wildcats!
