American Medical Association CEO Dr. John Whyte talks with Nevada Week host
Amber Renee Dixon about patients’ trending use of large language models (LLMs) and generative chatbots like ChatGPT, Gemini, CoPilot, and Grok while seeking out medical advice. Whyte states, “What do we know about the fidelity of that information? How do I know it's credible? That's what keeps me up at night, because I think there's potential harm there too, as well as benefit.”

Nevada Week Host Amber Renee Dixon asked cybersecurity expert Jake Braun, “If
everyone changed just one digital habit today, what would have the biggest impact?

His answer: turn on 2FA (two-factor authentication) on your smartphone.

Cyberattacks aren't always just about hacking into computer systems. They can also be paired with misinformation and disinformation designed to create confusion and division.

As DEF CON — one of the world’s largest hacker conventions — gathered in Las Vegas, Nevada Week spoke with cybersecurity expert Jake Braun about how foreign actors can use cyberattacks and social media together.

His advice is simple: check information before sharing it, rely on reputable news sources, and don't unintentionally amplify disinformation.
