STEM at CSN

Congratulations to the newest STEM Innovation and Impact Fund projects from Spring 2021! Carbon dioxide emissions of imported verses locally grown fruits and vegetables: A quantitative assessment, led by Lois Summers; Faculty Innovations for Course Redesign Summer Institute, led by Shellie Keller; Paleo-environments of Chuckwalla Valley, California, led by Doug Sims; Shaping Learning by Shaping Classrooms, led by Tina Martin; and a tentative approval of Increasing Resource Access for Underserved Rural Students through Laptop Loans, led by Darlene Montague.

We are excited for CSN to be a part of this paper! Interim VPAA James McCoy and STEM Project Coordinator Kristen Dwyer both contributed.

We are pleased to announce the return of the Las Vegas Science & Technology Festival on April 24, 2021-April 30, 2021. We may look a little different this year, but our reimagined Festival will offer never before seen virtual content and more! The Giant Expo will be postponed until the Fall with the date to be announced at a later time. So mark your calendars and check back soon.

The Las Vegas Science & Technology Festival is produced by the Las Vegas Natural History Museum and made possible by the Festival's proud community partners: Clark County School District, NV Energy, Nevada National Security Site, Cox, Wells Fargo, Republic Services.
