So…what exactly does a TIP volunteer do?

We are called by first responders to support people immediately following traumatic events — when families may be shocked, overwhelmed, grieving, or simply unsure what happens next.

We listen.
We provide practical assistance.
We help connect people with resources.
We offer a calm presence in the middle of chaos.
And sometimes, we simply sit beside someone so they don’t have to be alone.

TIP volunteers don’t arrive to fix the unfixable.
We arrive to care for the people experiencing it. ❤️

That’s the heart of Trauma Intervention Program of Northern Nevada.
