I interviewed Wes and asked him why he believes network marketing is one of the best businesses for 2026.

His answer focused on one word: leverage.

According to Wes, most people only earn from their own effort. In network marketing, you have the opportunity to build a team and create leveraged income, where your results aren’t limited to what you can personally do in a single day.

The biggest lessons Wes shared:
• Build leveraged income, not just active income
• Judge yourself on activity, not results
• Create content that starts conversations
• Educate people before you sell to them
• Stay in pursuit of your goals, regardless of outcomes

One thing that really stood out was how he defines success.

Most people judge success by whether someone joined, bought a product, or said yes. Wes believes success is simply being in pursuit of your goals every day. The results are just a bonus.

He also shared a powerful marketing lesson:

Stop promoting. Start educating.

Instead of constantly telling people what to buy, teach them something valuable. When you educate first, people naturally begin to trust you, see you as an authority, and often come to you with questions.

In today’s internet-driven world, the people who create value and build relationships will always have an advantage.

Share it with your team so they know what to reply when somebody says: How much do you earn.

And surprisingly, the best answer isn’t always giving them a number.

The real goal is to shift the conversation away from your income and toward their goals.

Most people are looking for the 11.

The 11 leaders.
The 11 superstars.
The 11 people who will change their business.

But they don’t want to go through the 1,200.

Bill Britt, one of the greatest network marketing leaders of all time, explained it very simply:

➡️ He showed the plan to 1,200 people.
➡️ 900 said NO.
➡️ 300 signed up.
➡️ 85 did something.
➡️ 35 got serious.
➡️ 11 became leaders.

Those 11 made him a millionaire.

The lesson?

Success in network marketing is not about finding better people.

It’s about talking to more people.

Most distributors talk to 10 people, get rejected by 8, and start questioning the business.

Bill Britt got rejected by 900.

The difference is not talent.
The difference is understanding the numbers.

If I gave most network marketers an Excel sheet with 1,200 rows and told them not to complain until every row had a name in it, most would quit before row 100.

✅ How many people voted on my poll?
✅ How many follow-ups did I do?
✅ How many calls did I book?
✅ How many presentations did I send?
✅ How many customers did I get?
✅ How many business builders did I recruit?

But most importantly:

✅ How many NEW conversations did I start?

Because that’s the only thing you can control.

You can’t control if a video goes viral.
You can’t control if someone signs up.

You can control the amount of conversations you start.

If you’re not hitting at least 500 new conversations a week, you’re probably not doing enough.
