ReedBotics

ReedBotics is a competition robotics team. In the club, students design, build, and program fully functional robots.

The Reed High School Robotics Club, or Reedbotics, is a program that allows students to design, build, and program a fully functioning robot for local and state competitions. The students currently compete in the FIRST robotics challenge- FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) in the fall/winter season and in SKILLS USA- Mobile Robotics in the spring season. Students have the opportunity to explore a variety of engineering and computer science topics while working in a hands on capacity.

The program also helps to prepare students with the skills needed to be competitive members of Nevada’s workforce.

The season had a lot of ups and downs! There were engineering design challenges galore, malfunctioning robots, huge successes and both teams pushed through to the end! Here are a few photos from the final meet in Las Vegas, starting with our two teams as alliance partners kicking off the championship in the first match! Your coaches and parent could not be prouder if all the members of these two teams!!!
