Students at the UNLV Lee Business School gained a global perspective during their 10-day trip to Japan āļø There they learned how to incorporate adaptability, innovation, teamwork, and leadership into business practices.
āBusinesses donāt always have the resources to solve every challenge on their own,ā said MBA student Daniel Zappitello. āCollaboration is an effective way to develop meaningful solutions while still operating within your own expertise.ā
They also documented a number of experiences observing how culture shapes Japanās economic landscape.

UNLV researchers are working on an answer to the question of water sustainability by transforming wastewater into a reliable, non-potable resource.
āWe're taking something that people don't want ā wastewater ā and making it into something they want,ā said civil and environmental engineering professor Eakalak Khan. āPeople think itās yucky, right? Now, weāre trying to change that mindset so that it's viewed as a resource. Itās usable, or reusable.ā said Khan.

The Class of 2030 is ready to make a big difference in our community!šComprised of 76% Nevada residents, with the remaining students holding deep ties to the state, this cohort was invested in the community long before joining our school. Together, they bring more than 22,500 hours of community service, with more than half of those hours spent in medical or clinical settings.
Their strong desire to serve our community is impressive, and it's one of the main reasons they chose the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV!
