Our founder, Jon D. Ponder, knows firsthand that transformation is possible when people are given the opportunity to rebuild their lives with accountability and purpose. What began as one person's journey has grown into a mission that helps individuals discover their potential, strengthen their families, and become leaders within their communities.

Jon believes that a person's past does not define their future. With the right guidance, education, and a community that believes in them, lasting change is possible.

Change doesn't happen simply because someone is given another opportunity. It happens when they choose to take that opportunity seriously and put in the work.

Accountability helps create progress. Support helps sustain it. And the right resources can help turn goals into a future that feels possible.

That's the work behind a Second Chance. πŸ’™

Every Second Chance starts with someone choosing not to give up.

For Jon D. Ponder, that belief has never changed. When people are given the tools, guidance, and support to move forward, they begin to see what's possible for themselves. That confidence doesn't stop with one person. It reaches their children, their families, their workplaces, and their communities.

Real change begins when someone is given the opportunity to succeed and the belief that they can.

Growth doesn't stop when the program ends. It continues in the lives we touch along the way.

Tammy's commitment to her own growth has opened the door to something even greater: using her experiences to mentor and encourage others in her community. Her story is a reminder that a Second Chance isn't just about changing your own life. It's about creating opportunities for others to believe in what's possible, too.

That's the lasting impact of HOPE for Prisoners. πŸ’™

The countdown to graduation is on. πŸŽ“

Behind every graduate is a story of resilience, determination, and a decision to keep moving forward. In just a couple of weeks, we'll celebrate another incredible group of individuals taking the next step toward brighter futures.

We can't wait to cheer them on. πŸ’™

The path to lasting change is easier when you don't have to walk it alone.

Tonight, Tuesday Night Huddle Up welcomes Chad Dymon, a business entrepreneur, coach, and longtime community advocate who brings decades of experience in personal development, leadership, and serving others. Chad has also worked alongside HOPE for Prisoners and believes in helping others move toward their highest potential.

Join us tonight from 6:00 to 7:00 PM PST at the Billy Walters Center for Second Chances. If you can't attend in person, watch right here on HOPE for Prisoners Facebook Live.

Communities thrive when people have the opportunity to thrive.

Through hands on training and workforce development, Vocational Village creates pathways to meaningful careers for people seeking a Second Chance. The impact extends far beyond the classroom. Stable employment helps strengthen families, supports local businesses, and contributes to safer, more connected neighborhoods.

Every new skill learned and every career launched is another step toward a stronger community for all. πŸ’™

08/09/2026

Every success story begins with someone who was willing to believe that a better future was possible.

Creating lasting change takes more than opportunity alone. It takes guidance, encouragement, practical tools, and a community that continues to invest in your success.

That's why we remain committed to supporting people seeking a Second Chance long after the first step. Whether it's career readiness, mentorship, or ongoing resources, we're here to help individuals build stable futures that strengthen families and our community. πŸ’™
