🌈 Eat a Rainbow Farmers Markets are BACK! 🍊🫐🧅

A colorful lineup on the menu this month: Blueberries in a water-packed can, onions, oranges, bell peppers, spinach, and arugula… our little farmers had plenty to share! 🥬🫑

We visited the 1st and 2nd graders and students in the inclusive learning classrooms at Woolley ES, and they couldn't wait to tell us all about the delicious produce they’re growing and eating! 🌱💚 So much energy, enthusiasm, and love for fresh food!

Growing food, growing knowledge, and growing big smiles. 🌈

Chef was dedicated to our cause.

A memorial service celebrating Chef Michael’s life will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Palm Mortuary Downtown, 1325 N. Main St., Las Vegas, NV 89101.

In honor of Chef Michael and his lifelong dedication to the culinary profession, chefs attending the service are asked to wear their white chef coats.

It is with great sadness that ACF Chefs Las Vegas mourns the passing of beloved chapter member Chef Michael Whitesides, who passed away on August 25, 2026, at the age of 77. A dedicated chef, entrepreneur, mentor and longtime member of the culinary community, Chef Michael leaves behind a legacy…

This Hunger Action Month, we’re jumping into action with two Eat a Rainbow Farmers Markets! We will deliver fresh, nutritious fruits and vegetables directly to the Title I student families we serve. More importantly our lessons inspire kids to taste produce and discover the benefits on their bodies.

For some families, fresh produce can be difficult to access. Together, we can help change that. Are you in? One bag of fresh fruits and veggies, one family, and one act of generosity at a time.
