Las Vegas parents: I’m looking to connect with like-minded families who are concerned about CCSD and the larger state of education in our city.
I have lived in Las Vegas since 1980, taught college for 17 years, and spent 5 years working in CCSD. I care deeply about this city, and I believe our children deserve far better than what the current system is offering.
I am working to build Pax Academia, a school centered on critical thinking, strong values, family involvement, and real learning.
Right now, I am hoping to connect with committed parents and community-minded people who may want to help bring this vision to life. It could mean networking, sharing resources, making introductions, offering ideas, or helping build a strong founding community.
I would also like to start regular meetups, either online or in person in Las Vegas, so parents who share these concerns can come together, exchange ideas, and help build something better. My thought is to meet twice a month.
If this speaks to you, please DM me. I would love to connect.
Pax Academia High School
We offer personalized, project-based high school education that prepares students for real-world success.
Blending classical education with modern learning, we help students think critically and grow as future leaders.
Hi everyone,
I’m looking for 1 student (8th–10th grade) for a short pilot program.
This is not traditional tutoring.
I’m testing a method that helps students actually understand how to think through math problems, instead of memorizing steps.
This program will focus on preparing the student for next year’s math (Pre-Algebra or Algebra I), so sessions stay structured and don’t turn into homework help.
The pilot will consist of 4 one-hour sessions, starting the week of May 4th (exact day/time will be coordinated with the parent).
During the sessions, I’ll work directly with the student to help them:
• Break down unfamiliar problems step-by-step
• Understand what a question is really asking
• Build confidence before entering the next level of math
I’ve taught math for over 20 years (high school through college), and I’m developing this as part of a larger program.
I’m offering this free for one student only in exchange for:
• Full commitment to all 4 sessions
• Effort between sessions
• Honest feedback
• A short testimonial if the experience is helpful
If your child:
• Gets stuck easily
• Relies on memorizing steps
• Or wants to feel more prepared for next year
they would be a great fit.
Comment or message me if interested.

🌟 Exciting News! 🌟
I’ve just launched the website for my new program, Pax Academia: Math & Mind Enrichment.
We offer live online courses in:
Advanced Math (proofs, number theory, enrichment for gifted students)
Math Mastery (Fundamentals through Calculus & Statistics, for students who need review or confidence)
Socratic Philosophy (critical thinking and dialogue through Plato, Aristotle, and timeless questions)
My goal is to give middle and high school students the chance to go beyond memorization and truly learn how to think.
If you know a student who might benefit, please feel free to share or check out the website here: [insert your website link]
Thank you for supporting local education! 🙏
This Friday, August 22nd, Pax Academia High School will be featured in a TV interview. I’ll be sharing our mission to bring a tuition-free, private classical education to students in Las Vegas who otherwise wouldn’t have access to it.
I’ll post the segment afterwards so everyone can see it—but for now, wish us luck!
This is a big step forward in spreading the word about Pax Academia and the future we’re building together.
