The reading recession must STOP! Shoutout to Black Millionaires ®️ for the original post. As a librarian I can honestly tell you that we have to take a different approach to literacy when it comes to students loving reading. We have to make reading FUN again. This will take our community as a whole to do this. But let’s start with empowering our youth to read books they are interested in or having books that have characters that reflect them. Shoutout to my librarian and teacher colleagues..we have a very difficult job but we will help our parents overcome this reading crisis together. Librarians are LEADERS OF THE NEW COOL!
