Katerina is the happiest, proudest big sister ever.

My student Emma could have just taken it easy after audition season and winning the Sterling Scholars scholarship award this year, but instead she performed a senior recital before heading to college!

I did a hard thing today!

I recorded the entire Rameau harpsichord suite that I have transcribed for harp. The score is 72 pages long and is the most difficult thing I’ve ever played. This photo is a screenshot from the video.

I just have a live presentation and one more recital to finish my Doctor of Music degree. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 that everything gets approved!

I taught a harp and a piano lesson this morning, but my cutest little student is definitely this 🐞 Katerina bug.

She likes to play the “C song” (playing all the red strings), the “F song” (all the navy blue strings), the “white string song” (all the other strings), and “Butterfly” from “Tales of a Musical Journey” by Irina Gorin.

As a millennial mom, wife, and Twilight fan, Kristie's Music Studio continues to soothe and enrich the lives of children in her community.

Kristie gives back by donating time and customized piano and harp lessons.

When she's not teaching or playing her harp at events, you can find her at home with her husband, kids, three cats, and a dog that looks like Lassie. Teaching and music are her life, but she also enjoys reading and an occasional workout.
