Garehime Elementary School Garehime Means Business One such strategy is to incorporate various Multiple Intelligences into lesson activities.

At Garehime Elementary, we utilize the most current neuroscience research on how the brain learns and retains knowledge to guide our educators in selecting effective teaching strategies. Multiple Intelligence instruction takes into account the different ways that students learn. For example, one student may excel in learning through touching and moving, while another learns best when lessons are taught in a scientifically or mathematically-based approach. In addition to the Multiple Intelligences, our classrooms are designed and decorated in three predominant colors and are clutter-free, which allows our students to focus on their learning. Neuroscientists have determined that students need to feel safe in order to successfully learn. Therefore, to provide a safe and optimal learning environment, the Lifelong Guidelines, Lifeskills and procedures are consistently utilized at Garehime and are posted in every classroom.
