Meet the team: Charitie; Advocate.
Hi everyone, I’m Charitie, and I’m a Special Education Advocate and founder of My Family Connection. Most of my work focuses on helping families navigate IEPs, 504 plans, and school meetings. I work closely with parents to help them understand the special education process, feel more prepared in meetings, and advocate effectively for the supports their children need.
What I love most about this work is helping families feel more confident and less alone in systems that can often feel overwhelming or confusing. I’m passionate about making advocacy practical, approachable, and empowering for parents.
Outside of work, I’m usually planning workshops, creating resources for families, spending time with my kids, or working on community projects. Looking forward to getting to know everyone.
