Dr. William Sullivan (Doc) touched countless lives in our community, especially with his groundbreaking and award winning work with the federal educational and college readiness TRiO programs in Las Vegas like Upward Bound and Talent Search, as well as the awesome GEAR UP program. I will always be grateful to Doc and the team at UNLV The Center for giving me the opportunity to manage and lead an exceptional GEAR UP team for over 16 years and becoming an established professional along the way. Doc Sullivan was an incredible trailblazer and advocate for poor kids, and used education as a means for helping them strive towards their own greatness and improve the lives of their family lineage.

Thank you Doc Sullivan for all that you did, and all that you were to a grateful generation. We honor and salute you. Well Done and Rest In Peace…

Man, it makes my heart proud to see him and all the other “adopted sons” I have out there doing well and taking care of business as young men should. I’m proud of you young man!
